Brotherton Painting provided interior painting and exterior painting services for a new five-story multifamily development in Issaquah, WA. The 240,000-square-foot development included 135 apartments and townhomes. Our scope covered apartment interiors, corridor finishes, exterior panels, metal surfaces, entry door staining, and anti-graffiti treatment. Our painters worked in crews of five to twenty people through changes in general contractors to complete the painting scope.

The Challenge
During construction, the original general contractor was acquired by another company, which later filed for bankruptcy before the scheduled temporary occupancy milestone. Ownership then brought in a replacement contractor to close out the development.
Our team remained the painting contractor through these transitions. The paint job extended from each residential living space to shared corridors and exterior architectural elements, combining paint, stain, and specialty coatings within the same development.
Interior Painting and Exterior Finishes
Interior painting included walls, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards, handrails, and accent walls. Sherwin-Williams SW 7013 Ivory Lace was used on unit walls, ceilings, trim, and doors. Sherwin-Williams SW 7069 Iron Ore was specified for corridor ceilings, entry accent walls, and corridor baseboards.
Exterior painting covered Hardie panels, canopies, steel, other metal surfaces, and custom-painted metal siding. Townhome entry doors received an oil-based stain, while exterior brick and concrete received anti-graffiti treatment.
